The Fourth State of Matter

  1. Savannah,
Really nice work here, and of course, I love the collie. You've done a really good job of integrating like-video. By this I mean, the style of the video clips you chose (as well as the photos) are similar. They belong together. This is important to remember for your video project...I'll talk about this in class, but it's like that Sesame Street game, which of these things doesn't belong? You'll want all of your photos/videos/narration to share a style and approach, including a color palette and font choices (if you use them). You already get that, so keep this in mind as you start to put your story together.

Two suggestions: make sure the pacing makes sense. We spend a lot of time on the collie here and though I get that it's in conjunction with the reading, consider other ways you might visually illustrate that part without having the dog just trotting around. You could play with slow-motion, for example. Secondly, see what you can do about the echo in your narration. It sounds like you are speaking to us from a long tunnel.

    Overall, much to like here.

  2. I thought it was really cool how you were able to find the video of the collie. Your voice sounds very good as you read the narration and I think you have a good tone and a good pace overall.

  3. I really liked how you used the Collie as your main focus in your video. It was definitely one of the most important in the story. I think it was really original on your part. Great job!
